Cóbano International School Project
We are happy about the great interest which the non-profit project ESCUELA FUTURO VERDE International School Cobano on the Southern Peninsula de Nicoya has created.
This shows us, that such a school is really wanted. Our invitation to you: Participate, together we can make it happen. Suggestions, active support and donations are
welcome, please contact us!
As is the project, this website is its beginning, and we want to use it as our medium to inform you what is going on - this is the current status:
A questionaire was given out to investigate the opinions of parents about features for a school. As a side benefit, we hope to receive a better idea how many children,
which are currently not registered with the local authorities, are around and will need education. Here is the download, check out where you can return it to us
(Deadline 15th of January 2007).
The FOUNDATION papers are nearly done with the lawyer and its registration in the National register will be finished before 15th of December 2006. From that moment on,
the foundation is an acknowledged beneficial institution and can receive tax-deductable donations.
The foundation will hold a TRUST, the registration of the trust will take place in January.
The BUSINESS PLAN and the MASTERPLAN are under revision of a former business consultant from the U.S. Excerpts of the plan will be published on this website, for now we
start with the SUMMARY.
Please note: We, the project coordinators, see us carrying the project to the point until the foundation is able to pay a professional project manager. The project manager
should run it, until a permanent school director and administrator is in place. We do not want to run the school ourselves.
