“Those who know nothing of foreign languages know nothing of their own.”

– Johann Wolfgang von Goethe

Additional language study

In our increasingly global society the ability to be not only bilingual, but multilingual, is ever more apparent.  At Futuro Verde we believe whole-heatedly in our school-wide bilingual Spanish/English program and see enormous benefits to our students in the opportunity to learn additional languages as well.

Students in 1st through 6th grade take Comparative Language Study classes weekly.  The classes focus on the four aspects of language development: speaking, listening, reading and writing and a metalinguistic analysis of how we learn and process language.

In 7-9th grade students can choose which additional language they would like to study: French or Classical Languages.
