An Overview

The middle years program at Futuro Verde finds its strength in the interaction between the distinct subject areas.  Students receive their core studies with a strong focus on inquiry and the learning process.  With emphasis on critical thinking, community service and creativity our students are supported and inspired each day in their learning.  With new knowledge coming from in and outside the classroom, students actively participate in their learning; they explore, discover and problem solve.

Highlights of Futuro Verde’s Middle Years program:

With rigor and an interdisciplinary focus our students receive the following educational experiences in the middle years program at Futuro Verde, some of which are chosen by students through our electives program:

• Core subject areas taught in either Spanish or English
• Additional language study through our World Languages program
• Creative opportunities in visual arts and music
• Weekly physical education classes and swimming lessons
• Environmental education classes every week
• Campus and community action projects focused on the environment
• Weekly college counseling classes focused on personal growth and development and goal setting for future plans and studies in high school and beyond.
