EFV OPENS DOORS AT NEW FACILITIES IN CÓBANO!

As of June 2010, ESCUELA FUTURO VERDE will open its doors to it new location in Cóbano and has a full day program. You are invited to visit us virtually at our photo gallery.

We are delighted by the enthusiastic response from the community and are pleased to report matriculation went up 200% from 2008 to 2009 with a student population representing over 8 countries!

ESCUELA FUTURO VERDE offers a true bilingual education. The main language at the school, however, is Spanish. Besides the traditional language studies in Spanish, Social Studies and Math, some of the afternoon programs are held in Spanish as well. The second language is English, now the universal language, especially in this thriving area, and communication on a global-level is necessary for one’s success. Knowing this, we use bilingual methods of teaching English to all students, our teachers are well equipped to teach English Writing, Grammar and Reading, as well as to use proven English-as-a-Second-Language (ESL) methods to teach Science and Environmental Studies. With the combination of formal language study and ESL methods, all students will be prepared to communicate easily in both languages.

In addition, we are proud to be one of the first schools in Costa Rica offering Constructive Learning, a progressive learning method build around the child's natural skills.

AFTERNOON PROGRAMS

One of the aims of the Escuela Futuro Verde Foundation is to fill the gap of spare time children have and to offer enrichment. The afternoon program is also open to all the children of other Primary schools in the area. The prices are affordable and the majority of the courses are instructed bilingually in Spanish and English which is excellent practice for all the children, both native and foreign.
