Estimada Padres y Profesores de Futuro Verde,
Me alegra anunciar que hemos reclutado con éxito a la Profesora Daniela Sandi Castella como profesora de matemáticas de secundaria. La Profesora Sandi viene con una licenciatura del programa de enseñanza de matemática de la universidad #1 de Costa Rica y Centro America, la UCR.
La candidata fue nuestra finalista en un proceso que involucró 23 candidatos iniciales, de los cuales 9 fueron entrevistados, y 3 resultaron finalistas de segunda entrevista, y 2 fueron invitados a dar clases modelo.. Este proceso incluyó la participación e insumos de 3 profesores de secundaria, la Coordinadora Académica, Karol Madrigal y el Dr Gabriel. La profesora impartió 3 clases modelos a 10mo, 11vo y 12vo. Los grupos estudiantiles compartieron sus reflexiones muy positivas sobre las clases con el Dr. Gabriel. Fue un proceso nuevo, multidimensional colaborativo y eficiente.
Confiamos que la Profesora Sandin, junto con el resto del equipo de matemáticas, el Prof Roberto Quiros y la Prof. Anya Forestell, nos ayudarán a fortalecer nuestro programa de matemáticas del Bachillerato Internacional.

Dear Parents and Teachers of Futuro Verde,
I am happy to announce that we have successfully recruited Professor Daniela Sandi Castella as a high school mathematics teacher. Professor Sandi comes with a bachelor’s degree from the mathematics teaching program at the #1 university in Costa Rica, UCR.
The candidate was our finalist in a process that involved 23 initial candidates, of which 9 were interviewed, and 3 were finalists in the second interview, and 2 were invited to teach model classes. This process included the participation and input of 3 professors from secondary school, the Academic Coordinator, Karol Madrigal and Dr Gabriel. The teacher taught 3 model classes to 10th, 11th and 12th grade. Student groups shared their very positive reflections on classes with Dr. Gabriel. It was a new, multidimensional, collaborative and efficient process.
We are confident that Professor Sandin, along with the rest of the mathematics team, Prof. Roberto Quiros and Prof. Anya Forestell, will help us strengthen our International Baccalaureate mathematics program.
